Policies and Procedures Updated 2022
POLICIES and PROCEDURES (updates 2022)
1. Roles and Responsibilities of the course delivery personnel.
Course Facilitator:
The course facilitator will check students in by having them sign the sign-in sheet, having them fill out a student information form and checking their identification at the beginning of the class. The facilitator will also make sure each student is provided a course syllabus, content text book and any applicable supplemental materials for the class. Each student will sign out for lunch and back in, when they return for lunch. Each student will sign out at the end of the course. At the end of the course, the facilitator will collect the sign-in /sign-out sheet and the course feedback survey from each student. The facilitator will provide each student that finishes the course, with their course completion certificate, signed by the instructor.
Course Instructor:
In such a case that we are providing a class of less than 15 students, the instructor may fulfill the role of the facilitator. However, this is not our intention and would only be practiced when necessary. The course instructor shall cover the “Rules of Conduct” decree with the students and require each student to sign it. The course instructor will cover all course material, engaging individual students for participation, sharing and critical thinking. The course instructor will dictate the pace and focus of the course, in order to keep the class on topic, keep individual students engaged and to make sure all necessary material is covered. The course provider will also conduct end-of-chapter summary activities and will quiz the students on the content, to encourage retention of the information covered. The instructor may share real-life scenarios, experiences and ideas to enhance the reliability of the content covered to actual work experience for student edification. The instructor will encourage questions and relevant discussion for each topic covered.
2. Individual instructors who will teach this course.
Joseph A Fortuna – Mortgage Loan Originator since 1998. SAFE ACT Licensed since 2010 (NMLS#161819). SAFE Act Pre-Licensing and Continuing Education since 2010.
Cody Wyatt – Mortgage Processing from 2015-2017. Wholesale Mortgage Account Executive 2017-2020. Mortgage Loan Originator Since 2020 (NMLS#1385203)
3. Policies and procedures being used to verify attendance and enforce seat time.
Courses start on time, individual students are identified by checking driver’s license or a valid form of ID, students are required to sign in at the beginning of class, out for lunch, in from lunch and out at the end of class. A 10 minute break is given after 50 minutes of instruction – on the hour. Lunch time does not count towards the specified 8 hour instruction requirement.
Students that miss any portion of the class may register for a subsequent course offering from our school, to “make-up” the time requirements that they missed out on. However, they will be required to attend the scheduled make-up time that will cover the same information that they missed. For example: If the student misses the first hour of the course and must make up an hour in a subsequent course, that hour must be made up at the beginning of the subsequent course and all applicable activities, quizzes and participation requirements for that portion of the course will apply. Likewise, if that student missed the first hour of the course, following the lunch hour, that is the precise time that student will be required to make-up in the subsequent course.
4. Course Delivery
All Courses are approved for classroom delivery. All materials including, but not limited to, the syllabus, a text book, any supplemental handouts will be personally handed to each of the students by the course facilitator or by the instructor. In the event that a student requests materials to be mailed to them ahead of the scheduled class, we may accommodate them by registered mail, but this delivery shall not take the place of the responsibility of the course facilitator and/or the course instructor to make sure every student in attendance has the required materials. Students requesting virtual or online delivery can register for a course, directly from our curriculum provider. These courses shall be provided by a third party source. That 3rd party source shall be responsible for the registration, delivery, credit banking and service of required content and materials. Our school shall provide a link for such courses upon request.
